This Week into the Next

Over the holidays I had my second forecast "fail" of the year, oh well (both times it fell <2" outside my guess, first time just as poorly as most, second time better than most). The Christmas Day storm was almost impossible to track, even for meteorologists, so no wonder I failed. At least I did better than DT over at WXRISK.

Back to the point; what's in store for the next week or so?

Very Late Thursday/Friday/Early Saturday
• Will not last multiple days most likely, just the possible time frame
• Slight chance of snow
• Highest possible accumulations would be 3" in a best case scenario
• Trace-1" is what I am thinking right now (NOT MY FINAL CALL)
• Final call will be tomorrow night

Mid Next Week
• Possibility of a big storm next week
• Though possible, it has been looking less and less likely as of today
• Might end up with just a cold rain
• Storm keeps moving farther into January with each model run
• Will have a much better picture on Friday
