Early start to the holidays?

Now that almost 24 hours have passed, I am not confident enough to post snow totals Thursday. Also, more news on this weekend storm.

Thursday:
1-3 inches of snow, maybe with some sleet and freezing rain mixed in in the end. It'll start off very cold (low to mid 20s) so sticking should not be an issue but it is a small storm; anything above three inches would be very surprising give the low amount of moisture associated with it. Sadly, as far as getting out of school Thursday, it does not look good. According to the models it starts snowing here at about 7 am.

This Weekend (Sat/Sun)
40% chance of accumulating snowfall. This one could be huge but with 4 days, and 16 more runs of the models, I cannot make any worthwhile predictions. All I can say now is that this could be one for the record books if the models are correct.
