Winter will be taking a break for a while in terms of snow. Here's the latest on what is most likely the last pitiful storm for a while:
Thursday:
• Maybe a delay
• Snow moves in early (3am-5am) Thursday
• Accumulations: Flurries-1"

The Road Ahead
With the passage of the last storm, it looks that after a few days of moderate temperatures, we will be back in the freezer for at least all of next week. Along with the cold comes another chance of snow.
We have been in a stormy pattern for months now with a storm almost every week. Sadly for us, all have been near misses. The upcoming storm (late next week) may be our last chance at a decent amount of snow since by the time we get to March the amount of sunlight reaching the surface is much more intense. With what I have seen so far this winter, my confidence in us getting a major storm is fairly low.

Wednesday
It will rain most of the day Wednesday: you might want to buy a boat. It will be a cold and miserable day...
But hey, there's always Wednesday evening. As the main system leaves a upper level low will pas over our area.
Wednesday Evening
• Precipitation Type: Snow
• Timing: sometime between 7-10 pm Wednesday
• Amount 1-3 inches
• Chance school being canceled on Thursday: 20%
Notes: if the snow does not fall heavily enough in the atmosphere it will be rain due to a warm layer just above the surface. Also, the surface will be wet and above freezing, melting much of the snow. We could end up with heavy snow for a few hours and end up with no accumulation on the roads so making a call on school is very difficult. We are very close to just getting cold rain.

I think we'll get some... precipitation.
Once again, another storm that seems like could deliver snow, seems to be drawing ships towards the rocks like a siren. This storm is close to giving us snow, and as of late last night it looked like that may be that case, but the models are no where close to showing the same solution.
Wednesday
• Timing: early Wednesday afternoon (yes, this is a change).
• Mainly a cold rain with some snow at the end is my best guess at the moment
• Chance of rain changing over to snow: 30%
• Chance of a moderate snow event: 10%
• Chance of rain: 50%
• Tomorrow should give me a much better idea of what will happen

Tuesday 1/25
Tuesday January 25, 2000 was a wonderful day. The snow storm resulted in schools being closed for exam week and into the next. Guess what? It could happen again on the same month, date, and day of the week. If it does happen, we would miss our exams. Well, at least most of them because it will most likely happen...
...Tuesday Night/Wednesday
• Sadly, the storm looks to start Tuesday evening or early Wednesday
• It would be an all day event.
• It seems that it will be either a large snowstorm, or a lot of cold rain
• Chance of a storm: 30%

Bummerrr....
Don't expect a thing on Friday other than some clouds, maybe a rain/snow shower and drastically colder temperatures.
Exam week is a different story...
Early Next Week:
• The models are showing the possibility of a storm, a decent sized one at that.
• This is the first time this year that so many models have shown a threat in the same time period
• Though this is the most agreement they have had in a long time, I would say our chances are still slim
• Models have shown storms in the long range almost every week and they haven't materialized for us yet
• Also, about half of the models were showing us getting snow changing over to rain before today
• Chance of a storm next week; 10%
• Will be able to get a much better picture by Sunday.
